      Expression of TnksRNAi.2.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4NP0001, but not of Scer\GAL4NP5130, in combination with gal80[ts] to restrict expression to adulthood, results in a significant increase in the number of intestinal progenitor cells; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4NP0001, in combination with gal80[ts] to restrict expression to adulthood, also leads to a significant increase in the number of mitotic cells in the adult posterior midgut, as compared to controls.
