Two microdeletions within Syp, each one downstream of a different one of the two predominantly germline promoters. In both cases, the deletion is predicted to result in a frameshift and early translation termination of the corresponding protein isoform.

Comment:

A 1bp deletion in Syp, leading to a frameshift and early translation termination. The mutated coding sequence downstream of promoter 1 encodes the first 26 correct amino acids, 82 aberrant residues and a stop codon. This is the first of two microdeletions in different exons in Sypdub.
