Description

A mEGFP(A206K) tag has been inserted into the endogenous IA-2 locus at the C-terminal end of the coding sequence. In addition, two FRT sites have been inserted, one in the third IA-2 intron and one downstream of the mEGFP(A206K) tag. This results in a conditional allele; FLP recombinase can be used to excise the artificial FRT cassette, removing the last 8 exons of IA-2 and the C-terminal mEGFP(A206K) tag.
