Two tandem duplications in Ubx. The duplicated Ubx gene in the larger tandem duplication lacks the 4th exon (and thus a large part of the Ubx protein) and the duplicated part places the intact PS5 specific abx/bx regulatory region next to much of the PS6 specific bxd/pbx regulatory region. There is also a second smaller (12.7kb) tandem duplication in the 3rd intron of the intact Ubx gene that is associated with head-to-head Doc insertions.
