Definition Sensory neuron of the female reproductive tract that responds to sex peptide (Hasemeyer et al., 2009; Yang et al., 2009). CommentThese neurons express both fruitless (FBgn0004652) and pickpocket (FBgn0020258) (Yang et al., 2009; Hasemeyer et al., 2009). Sex peptide receptor appears to be axonal, rather than dendritic (Yang et al., 2009).
