Description
Description
Condensin I is conserved from yeast to humans. Condensin I is involved in the condensation and segregation of chromosomes. Condensin complexes consist of five subunits: a Structural Maintenance of Chromosomes (SMC) 2/4 heterodimer and three regulatory, non-SMC subunits. (Adapted from FBrf0191647).
