The nuclear receptor subfamily 0 (NR0) are C4 zinc finger sequence-specific DNA-binding proteins that regulate transcription. The NR0 subfamily are atypical, highly divergent members of the nuclear receptor superfamily that have only retained the DNA-binding domain. The absence of a ligand-binding domain suggests that NR0 transcription factors function in a ligand-independent manner. (Adapted from
