Description
Description
Inwardly rectifying potassium (IRK) channels are tetrameric transmembrane channels specific for potassium that allow potassium ions to move more easily into rather than out of the cell. IRKs contain two transmembrane domains and one inward-rectifier-potassium-channel domain. (Adapted from PMID:20086079 and FBrf0219718).
