Description
Description
Voltage-gated sodium (NaV) channels allow the inward movement of Na+ ions in response to a change in membrane potential. They display rapid inactivation kinetics. The channel is formed by homotetramers of the α subunit. A variable number of auxiliary β subunits are associated with the channel. (Adapted from FBrf0228338 and FBrf0213974).
