Description
Description
The Na+/K+ transporting P-ATPase subunits are involved in the coupled transport of Na+ and K+ ions against their concentration gradients across the cell membrane. These P-ATPases are composed of a large catalytic alpha subunit and a regulatory beta subunit. (Adapted from FBrf0226459.)
Notes on Group

The H+/K+-ATPases (proton pumps) evolved only in the vertebrate lineage independently of invertebrates (FBrf0155879).
