The Canopy (CNPY) family of proteins share an N-terminal hydrophobic signal sequence, a saposin-like fold and a C-terminal endoplasmic reticulum retention signal. They are thought to act as co-chaperones, linking client proteins to chaperones. (Adapted from FBrf0235351 and PMID:39869231.)
