Cyclophilins are a class of evolutionary conserved peptidyl prolyl cis/trans isomerases. In vertebrates, they form binary complexes with their ligand, cyclosporine A, and are involved in key biochemical processes including protein folding, receptor signalling, protein trafficking, and transcription.
