Parvulins belong to the family of peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerases (PPIases) assisting in protein folding and in regulating the function of a broad variety of proteins in all branches of life. They are relatively small compared to the other major PPIase classes (Cyclophilins and FK-506 binding proteins) and are characterized by the presence of a 'Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase, PpiC-type' domain (IPR000297).
