Description
Description
NAD-dependent all-trans-retinol dehydrogenases are short chain dehydrogenase/reductase (SDR) family members involved in the visual cycle. They mediate the oxidation of all-trans-retinol to all-trans-retinal, exhibiting a strong preference for NAD as the acceptor. (Adapted from FBrf0209889 and PMID:20801113).
