Description
Description
RuvB-like DNA helicases are homologs of E. coli RuvB, comprising RVB1 and RVB2 (also known as Pontin/Reptin) in eukaryotes. They are two are two highly conserved members of the AAA+ family of ATPases. RuvB-like DNA helicases are part of various chromatin remodeling complexes where they regulate the accessibility of DNA to the proteins involved in transcription and DNA damage repair by regulating the position or modification of nucleosomes.
