Description
Description
CDC25 phosphatases are tyrosine phosphatases that play critical roles in mitosis. The family is represented in Drosophila by the paralogous genes stg and twe. stg plays a role at the start of mitotic events during embryogenesis, oogenesis and regulates proliferation and stem cell maintenance, whereas twe plays a role in meiosis and oogenesis.
