Description
Description
Macromolecular conformation isomerases alter the conformation of macromolecules, such as polypeptides, DNA or RNA. Most are ATPases and use energy derived from ATP hydrolysis to drive the conformational change. They include motor proteins (myosins, kinesins, dyneins), proteasome regulatory particle ATPases, microtubule severing ATPases, helicases and DNA topoisomerases.
