Description
Description
The dehydrodolichyl diphosphate synthase complex catalyzes cis-prenyl chain elongation to produce the poly-prenyl backbone of dolichol. It is composed of two subunits - DHDDS and NUS1 (aka NgBR or Tango14). Although DHDDS is considered the catalytically active subunit, both subunits are necessary for efficient dolichol synthesis.
