Description
Description
The succinate-CoA ligase (GDP/GTP) complex is a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of succinyl-CoA to succinate in the only step of the tricarboxylic acid cycle coupled with substrate-level phosphorylation of GDP. In eukaryotes, the functional enzyme is a heterodimeric complex composed of a single alpha subunit (that is shared with the ATP-forming complex) and a beta subunit that determines the GDP substrate specificity. Notes on Group

Note that Scsα2 is not included here - it is a testis-specific paralog of the ubiquitously expressed Scsα1 alpha subunit.
