FBrf0236413.) The ClpXP complex is a hetero-oligomeric mitochondrial serine endopeptidase. It is assembled from ClpP, a serine endopeptidase that forms a tetradecamer from two stacked heptameric rings and the ClpX, an AAA+ ATPase unfoldase, which forms a hexameric ring that interacts with the ClpP protease barrel.
