Description
Description
The synthesis of the nucleotide-sugar UDP-xylose (UDP-Xyl) occurs in the Golgi apparatus and is produced from UDP-glucuronate. UDP-Xyl is used as a precursor for the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans and protein O-glycosylation. (Adapted from FBrf0232711 and PMID:32749901.)
