The PRELI domain-containing proteins are characterised by a conserved N-terminal ~170 amino acid domain. Localized to the mitochondrial intermembrane space (IMS), they shuttle specific phospholipids across the aqueous phase between membranes. (Adapted from FBrf0188584).
Notes on Group
The retm protein also contains a CRAL-TRIO motif, thought to mediate transport of small hydrophobic ligands (FBrf0188584).
