Identification: predicted on the basis of the sterility of Df(2L)RA5 females heterozygous with 18 different deletions, including Df(2L)TE35D-3. The existence of this gene is tentative, the sterility phenotype of Df(2L)RA5/Df(2L)TE35D-3 females may simply result from haplo-insufficiency, particularly for BicC.
