Comments concerning this interaction

Source was cell extract of S2 cell line; bait produced from transfected construct; prey produced from transfected construct.

Binding of Nf1 does not require phosphorylation of Fak, but is inhibited by exposure to ionomycin (which increase Ca[2+] influx).

Interaction tested in the presence of calk intestinal phosphatase, or using a Fak Y430F mutation, both of which abolish Fak phosphorylation.

Comments concerning this interaction

Source was cell extract of S2 cell line; bait produced from transfected construct; prey produced from transfected construct.

Binding of Nf1 does not require phosphorylation of Fak, as mutations that abolish Fak phosphorylation (Y430F) do not affect the interaction.
