Comments concerning this interaction

Interaction in vitro; proteins produced as a recombinant fusion proteins in bacterial system.

The single α helix (α1) and adjacent β strand (&bgr5) of pygo contact the lgs HD1 domain.

Unlike its human ortholog, fly pygo PHD domain has an altered His3 binding pocket with an apparent groove for binding of the His3-Arg2 residue.
