Collection of stocks each carrying a recessive lethal X chromosome mutation. Generated by chemical mutagenesis using low concentrations of ethyl methane sulfonate (EMS), to minimize the number of lethal hits per chromosome.
Isogenised y1 w[*] P{neoFRT}19A males were fed a sucrose solution containing a low concentration of EMS and balanced stocks carrying lethal mutations on the X chromosome were established.
Complementation tests, duplication mapping and Pacman mapping were performed, and mutations in selected cases were determined by PCR and Sanger sequencing and/or whole genome sequencing.
