I am writing about your lingerer line which you wrote about in

I have come across it as part of an editing job that I am currently
engaged in, and I wonder whether you have a symbol for the insertion
allele yet, also which P element has inserted in the allele?

Dear Rachel,
We call the P-element induced allele lingerer<P1>. The
abbreviated symbol is lig<P1>. The P-element inserted is Bm delta-w. A
brief description about the lig mutation has been given in my review
article appeared in Annu. Rev. Entomol.  42:551-585 . Hope this information
