Subject: FlyBase query
Dear Dr. Fehon,
I am curating your paper for FlyBase:
McCartney et al., 2000, Development 127(6): 1315--1324
and I have a question about the 'P{w+,UpMer+}' construct you used in
the clone experiments.
I would be grateful if you could tell me what promoter is driving Mer
expression - is it the polyubiquitin promoter (I think that's what the
'Up' is for but I wasn't sure)
I look forward to hearing from you,
Gillian

Yes, this is correct. In addition, the polyadenylation signal from the Adh
gene was used at the 3' end.
Thank you for taking care of this.
