Although Spradling et al., 1999 (FBrf0111489) describe chick13321 as l(2)k13321, the chromosome carrying this allele is viable. When the stock of this line was provided to Bloomington by the Berkeley Drosophila Genome Project it was noted (by Amy Beaton, 25 Feb 1998) that 'chik13321 is not a lethal'. The stock is homozygous for this second chromosome, indicating that chick13321
is viable and fertile.
