Subject: Hox11-310 / bsh merge?
Hi there,
What is the procedure for proposing a merge of two flybase genes?
FBgn0010392 (Hox11-310) is an 81bp homeobox fragment which was PCRd out
of the fly genome by homology to a mouse homeodomain. This complete
segment matches 100% at the DNA level to part of the bsh gene
(FBgn0010392). It doesn't match anywhere else in the fly genome.
Should these two FBgns be merged?
