Subject: The P-element insertion in l(3)10418 is in the CG14858 gene I think that the CG14858 and l(3)10418 genes can be merged, since the P-element insertion in l(3)10418 is in an exon of the CG14858 gene, according to release 2 annotations. I am not aware of any experimental evidence that this P-element has been shown to be responsible for the lethal mutation, but I gather that such evidence is not required for the merging of these genes. ...Bob Levis \-- \------------------------------------ Robert W.
