Eighteen lethal complementation groups were defined in Ahmed et al., 1998 ('Regulation of armadillo by a Drosophila APC inhibits neuronal apoptosis during retinal development'. Cell 93: 1171-1182 (FBrf0102882</up>) by screening EMS-treated chromosomes over Df(3R)3450. These included string and Apc.
