We are currently curating the abstracts for the upcoming 45th
(Washington DC) Annual Drosophila Research Conference, for FlyBase.
I am writing in connection with your abstract:
Shifted, the Drosophila ortholog of the vertebrate Wnt inhibitory factor (WIF)
is required for Hedgehog transport.
Your abstract indicates that you know which CG corresponds to shf
(FBgn0003390). Could you let me inow which CG this is please? All the
CGs have corresponding gene records in FlyBase already and we don't
like to make duplicate records for what is actually the same gene
unless we can't avoid it. If you let us know then I can merge the gene
records. The CG designation would become a synonym and shf would
become the valid symbol.
