The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Andrea Penton, Stanford University. In a screen described in Penton et al. (2002) (Genetics 161:747-762 ; FBrf0149026), flies carrying the insertions P{UAS-dsh.myc}3-8 or P{UAS-dsh.myc}1-16 were mutagenized with EMS. The mutagenized derivatives of P{UAS-dsh.myc}3-8 were named P{UAS-dsh8-number.myc} and the derivatives of P{UAS-dsh.myc}1-16 were named P{UAS-dsh16-number.myc}, e.g. P{UAS-dsh8-65.myc} and P{UAS-dsh16-43.myc}. Since the insertion site of the progenitor insertion was not changed by the EMS treatment, we have chosen to retain the insertion identifier. Consequently, the following derivatives of P{UAS-dsh.myc}3-8 will be listed in the Bloomington stock list: P{UAS-dsh8-65.myc}3-8 P{UAS-dsh8-1.myc}3-8 P{UAS-dsh8-16.myc}3-8 P{UAS-dsh8-12.myc}3-8 P{UAS-dsh8-64.myc}3-8 Likewise, the Axn8-66 and Axn8-13 mutations were induced on a P{UAS-dsh.myc}3-8 chromosome and Axn16-21 was induced on a P{UAS-dsh.myc}1-16 chromosome.
