comments:    As part of a genetics laboratory at Dartmouth College, the location of the copia insertion in H1 was determined.
The copia transposon is inserted in the second intron of the Hairless gene.  The insertion occurs in between the T/A at 314/315 base pairs counting from the 5' splice junction.
