Subject: Re: question about kkv allele (From FlyBase curator) I am a curator for FlyBase, and am curating the genomic coordinates of point mutations. I have a question about the location of the kkv 4-1E mutation, which is described in Moussian, et al., 2005 (Journal of Morphology 264(1):117-130) as being a mutation in the splice acceptor site of the third intron. Does that refer to the third intron in the coding sequence (i.e., just before D540), or the third intron of the omplete transcript (just before G130)? (Reply from B. Moussian) I went through the sequences again; the mutation you are asking is at the acceptor site just before His631.
