The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Scott Page, James Cook University.
mei-P26mfs2 is an imprecise excision of P{lacW}mei-P261 that removes part of the coding region as well as 5' UTR sequence, and possibly some of the promoter. The P{lacW} element has been completely excised and the chromosome lacks the w+mC marker.
