Bloomington 3213 Df(2L)A48 is listed as having breakpoints 35B3; 35D5-35D7 which are borderline for the Bic-C gene mapped position. I verified by anti-Bic-C western blot a combination Df(2L)RA5 and Df(2L)A48 and did find that the Bic-C band is still there, suggesting that Df(2L)A48 cannot be considered a Bic-C deficiency.
