Mapping information for erm mutations described in Weng et al., 2010, Dev. Cell 18(1): 126--135.
The erm1 allele carries the H392L amino acid substitution.
The erm2 allele was generated by the following pair of P-elements: P{XP}d07754 ( 2L:1 ,909,976) and P{XP}d06666 (  2L:1 ,987,870 ). The recombination of this pair of P-elements was predicted to remove 77.8 Kb around the earmuff gene.
