In the genotype of most P{Mae-UAS.6.11} (FBtp0001327) stocks in the Bloomington collection, we have been using y+m8 as the symbol for the transgene marker instead of y+t7.7 (FBal0193381). In other words, the "long version" of the transgene symbol has been shown as P{y+m8=Mae-UAS.6.11} instead of P{y+t7.7=Mae-UAS.6.11}. Bloomington genotypes will now use P{y+t7.7=Mae-UAS.6.11}, but we would like to document here that y+m8 is a synonym for y+t7.7.
