Dear Steven Thank you for your mail, I agree with you to use: GILT1, GILT2, and GILT3. Best Regards Amornrat Phongdara Prince of Songkla University == Dear Amornrat Phongdara, I am curating your recent paper for inclusion in FlyBase: Identification of gamma-interferon-inducible lysosomal thiol reductase (GILT) homologues in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. Therein, you identify three GILT genes in D. melanogaster: CG9796, CG10157 and CG13822. It would be appropriate to give these genes a 'proper' symbol based on your analysis, but you don't give any explicit symbols/names in your paper. Would GILT1, GILT2, and GILT3 be OK? Do you have any preference which gene is given a 1/2/3 suffix? Thanks, Steven -- Steven Marygold FlyBase
