P{Cbp53E-GAL4.VP16.I} combines Cbp53E regulatory sequences with  GAL4:VP16  coding sequences and SV40 polyA sequences. The regulatory sequences correspond to a 5.6 kb KpnI-NotI fragment 5' of the Cbp53E transcription start site. The construct was inserted into the P{CaryP}attP2 site at 68A4,  3L:11063638  (R5) to generate P{Cbp53E-GAL4.VP16.I}attP2. GAL4 expression does not recapitulate the full wild type Cbp53E expression pattern; instead, expression is limited to a small number of interneurons in the larval brain.
