The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Paul Graham and John Carlson, Yale University.
P{Gr68a-GAL4.1.8} expresses GAL4 under the control of 1.8 kb of genomic sequence from immediately upstream of the Gr68a translation initiation codon. The 5' end of the fragment corresponds to an XbaI restriction site.
P{Gr68a-GAL4.1.8}2 is a homozygous viable and fertile, second chromosome insertion.
The construct and insertion were generated in the lab of Hubert Amrein.
