P{CoinFLP-GAL4} has the structure 
Act5C regulatory sequences-FRT-translational stop-FRT3-FRT-FRT3-GAL4
where FRT3 is a variant FRT sequence that is compatible with FLP but incompatible with common FRT sequences. It is designed to allow FLP-mediated removal of one of the two overlapping FRT- or FRT3-flanked cassettes in a stochastic manner.
P{CoinFLP-LexA.GAL4} has the structure
Act5C regulatory sequences-FRT-FRT3-translational stop-FRT-LexA-FRT3-GAL4
It allows LexA or GAL4 expression depending on which cassette is removed.
P{CoinFLP-GAL4}attP40 and P{CoinFLP-LexA.GAL4}attP40 are insertions into P{CaryP}attP40 at 25C6,  2L:5108448  (R5).
