CG5361 may have been derived from CG8105 gene by retroposition (FBrf0225512). All have sequence features matching InterPro Alkaline phosphatase protein signature (IPR001952, IPR017850, IPR017849). Except for CG5361, human orthology predictions from OrthoDB are with alkaline phosphatase isoforms. D.mel Acid phosphatase 1 (Acph-1, FBgn0000032) related genes; putative acid phosphatase genes: CG6656 FBgn0038912 CG9452 FBgn0036877 CG9449 FBgn0036875 CG9451 FBgn0036876 All share significant sequence identity with Acph-1 with BLAST E-values <2e-29. All have sequence features matching InterPro Histidine phosphatase superfamily, clade-2 (IPR000560)/Venom acid phosphatase Acph-1 (IPR029630) families. Human orthology predictions from OrthoDB are with acid phosphatase isoforms. CG15385 (FBgn0031397) has sequence features matching Interpro Histidine phosphatase superfamily, clade-2 (IPR000560)/Venom acid phosphatase Acph-1 (IPR029630) families, but does not share sequence identity other predicted acid phosphatase genes in D.mel. Closest alignment with human gene: 2-phosphoxylose phosphatase 1 (24% identity, E-value 7e-31).
