The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Junjie Luo and Mark Schnitzer, Stanford University.
P{Act5C-eSpCas9} expresses the eSpCas9(1.1) derivative of Cas9 described in Slaymaker et al. ("Rationally engineered Cas9 nucleases with improved specificity" Science 351: 84–88, 2016) ubiquitously under the control of Act5C regulatory sequences.
P{Act5C-eSpCas9}attP40 is an insertion into the P{CaryP}attP40 site at 25C6, 2L:5108448..5108448 .
Both the P{Act5C-eSpCas9} construct and P{Act5C-eSpCas9}attP40 insertion were generated in the lab of Craig Montell, University of California at Santa Barbara.
P{Act5C-eSpCas9.w-.RFP+}attP40 was derived from P{Act5C-eSpCas9}attP40 using P{white-eraser}-mediated exchange of miniwhite for 3xP3-DsRed.
