The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center by Carlos Lois, California Institute of Technology.
P{UAS-Cerulean.intMEMOIR} (described in Chow et al., 2021, Science 372(6538): eabb3099, FBrf0248662) is composed of Cerulean plus 10 unique barcodes, each one of which is flanked by unique attP/attB sites recognized by Bxb1 integrase, all under the control of UAS. In the presence of Bxb1:int , integrase activity can result in no change or stochastic deletion or inversion of individual barcodes. Readout of each barcode status via sequential rounds of single molecule FISH allows the generation of lineage trees.
P{UAS-Cerulean.intMEMOIR}attP2 is an insertion on the third chromosome into attP2 (FBti0040535).
