The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center by Christopher Potter, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In the insertions below, Potter lab used a HACK knock-in approach to insert T2A-QF2 and lox-P-flanked 3xP3-mCherry at the ends of the indicated chemosensory receptor genes. The end result is the expression of the full length gene plus a T2A linker and QF2 (resulting in both the receptor and QF2 as separate proteins in the pattern of the receptor). See Task et al., 2022, eLife 11: e72599 (FBrf0253272).
