889bp starting in the first exon of Taz are replaced with an RFP in Taz889. This also deletes the start site for all transcripts of Taz except for the Taz-RC transcript. This deletion was targeted to match the Taz deletion allele previously reported by the Schlame lab, and differs from that allele only in the presence of the RFP marker.
