Nup58cc13-1 is a CRISPR-induced null mutation. The nucleotide sequence is CCTAAAGATGTTTACGCCCA-deletion-TGGATTGACAACCCTCCGCTGCCGTCGGTGGAACCTCAACGGATTAGTAGCGGTCCAACGCCCTTCTCCAACATCTCGGCTCTGATGAACAAGTCCTATGCAGCGGCGGCCAGTTCCGCCAGCAATGCGACAGGCAATTGA where the first ATG corresponds to the Nup58 start codon and the sequence after the deletion extends to the regular Nup58 stop codon. Nup58 is out of frame for almost the complete coding sequence. The sequence downstream of the deletion starts with a T presumably generated by the repair process and includes two SNPs (presumably genetic polymorphisms) further down.
Nup58cc16-1 is a CRISPR-induced in-frame deletion of amino acids 7 through 230, deleting the FG repeat region. Predicted amino acid sequence of mutant protein is MFTPTT(6)-A(231)ASLNFNTTTTTATAQ ... ATGN(546). Homozygotes are viable and fertile.
P{Nup58.tdTomato} is a pCaSper4 construct expressing Nup58 protein with a C-terminal tandem dimer Tomato tag under the control of the Nup58 cis-regulatory region.
P{Nup58.tdTomato}X.1 is a homozygous and hemizygous viable and fertile, X chromosome insertion.
P{Nup58.tdTomato}II.1 is a homozygous viable and fertile, second chromosome insertion.
P{Nup58.tdTomato}III.1 is a third chromosome insertion.
